The story of thriftmac
It started with the realization that I had a lot of cool freeware on my Mac. Then I noticed there are a lot of forum threads and blog articles devoted to Mac freeware. Obviously, the interest was there. So I decided why not devote an entire website to it — but only the good stuff. This is the cream of the crop. No crapware.
From there, it was a matter of upgrading to an open source (kinda freeware) content management system called Textpattern so I could incorporate great new features, and make it easier to maintain.
