And now for a few words ...

I’m a longtime wordsmith, so whenever I see a freeware word game, my eyes light up.

This time it’s Find A Word. The developer has a rather, shall we say, wordy explanation for how the game works, but it’s really quite simple. Once you start the game, you’re given a “pot” of letters. Then you start typing away, making as many words as possible in the allotted amount of time, using only the letters in the pot. The more words you make, the more points. (It’s been awhile since I’ve played Boggle, but it does vaguely remind me of it.)

In any case, I wouldn’t worry much about how many points you tally. The fun part is buffing up your brain with the challenge of creating words.

By the way, the developer, Custom Solutions of Maryland, offers quite a selection of programs to peruse—including the slightly controversial Subliminal Message.
