And the Mac Freeware Idol is . . .

Quinn.

Voting has levelled off and Quinn has maintained its commanding lead. So we’ve closed off voting and have declared Quinn to be the idol.

As mentioned previously, I was surprised Quicksilver and Adium didn’t get more support. They wound up tying for a distant second. I was also surprised to see a game get so much backing — although when you think about it, the TV Idol shows are all about entertainment. If we ever have another Mac Freeware Idol contest, it might make more sense to limit it to games.

Thank you to all those who nominated programs or took part in voting. We hope this little project was a fun mid-summer diversion for you.
