Back to school with iProcrastinate

iProcrastinate One of the trickiest parts of attending college or university is keeping track of all your courses and assignments. Coming up with your own way to keep everything organized can do much to sharpen the mind. Failing that, we recommend trying iProcrastinate.

This freeware organizer (donations requested) is intuitive enough that you can get started right away, and easily add to it as the semester progresses.

Your courses are listed in a column to the left. As you click on each one, a list of tasks appears to the right — each with title, projected due date, priority and checkbox for completion.

Two panes at the bottom let you break down tasks further with notes and associated files, plus a list of steps needed to complete the task.

You can get tasks out of the way by archiving them, then restore them later from a drawer on the right of the main window.

If you’re not sure about your dates, a popup calendar helps you choose them. And as backup, tasks can also be added to iCal’s to do list.

The great thing about iProcrastinate is that it organizes your work in a way that makes so much sense, you’ll wonder why didn’t think of it yourself. The combination of power and simplicity makes it a must-have for any student feeling the weight of full course load.

  1. I don’t suppose there is a program similar to this for PC machines?
