Bean 2.0b
Bean has become the freeware word processor of choice here at thriftmac. And the good news is that development continues apace, with the beta release of version 2.
You can now divide your text into columns on a page, which is a handy setup for people creating newsletters. Bean will also try to remember where your cursor is when you change views — it does this with a little animation that makes the cursor’s placement quite obvious. Plus, you can create your own template, and have Bean use it for every new document.
There are a bunch of unspecified changes to the preferences that you might want to explore. And, of course, some bad bugs have been squashed.
