Check out the new games

We’ve added three new titles to the games section, and they’re all pretty good.

In Bug Defender, you set up guns, sprays and rock throwers along a path to prevent a line of insects from invading your house. As you kill more bugs, you get more cash, which you can use to upgrade your weapons. There’s a surprising amount of strategy needed to progress to the next levels. You can visit an online forum for tips.

Armand and the Foppish Hat has you off on an adventure to retrieve your stolen hat. It’s all done in the style of a 2D SNES game, similar to the Zelda series. Don’t be fooled by the silliness of the storyline: the puzzles are quite tricky.

Finally, there is Oops! Think of the board game Sorry!, and you’ll get an idea of what it’s like. What makes it stand out is that you can play against your friends on a network, with the ability to exchange messages along the way. Be sure to check out the developer’s personal pages — in addition to being a user interface specialist, he plays both football and the cello.

  1. Bug Defender:

Wow! At first I tried this game just to pass a few minutes. Then I looked up and hours had gone by! Very addicting, very fun.

    Heyes
