Find thriftmac at Alltop
We heard about a cool, new website that started up with the help of former Apple evangelist Guy Kawasaki — and couldn’t resist checking it out. In a nutshell, Alltop brings together headlines from the top news websites and blogs, and puts them all in one place for your convenience.
You can explore topics by one of 10 categories, by an alphabetical index, or by a search. Categories are divided into subcategories so you can further hone your interests. For example, if you click on the Tech category, you can drill down further by clicking on Macintosh (Steve). Yes, they do have a sense of humour.
Listed in this subcategory are the latest five headlines from (as of this writing) 76 websites. It may seem overwhelming at first, but it can help with the discovery of sites you never head of before. Plus, you can hide as many as you want, and your preferences will be remembered next time you visit.
And if you scroll way down to the bottom, you’ll find the thriftmac feed. If you’re visiting via Alltop, we’d like to extend a welcome and encourage you to take a look at all we have to offer here. Only the finest freeware makes the thriftmac collection, and it truly must be free — no trials or demos.
