Firefox: secure, dominant — and better than Safari?
The latest release of Firefox fixes a security issue with code execution via QuickTime Media-link files. But that’s not all . . .
jkOnTheRun reports that Firefox is now the browser of choice for almost 40 per cent of the site’s visitors. That compares with just under 50 per cent for Internet Explorer — so it’s a real horserace. Of course, here at thriftmac the share for Firefox is up around 75 per cent and IE is a measly five per cent.
But what about Safari? Mac360 has a comparison between the Windows-esque Firefox and the elegant Mac-like Safari that judges which is best in various categories. And the ultimate winner is . . . aw, we won’t spoil it.
