JAlbum has long been a great freeware app for publishing your picture galleries online. With version 8.1, the big news is the addition of widgets, which allow some great new functionality. You can now create an About section, allow people to add comments, count how many people have visited, tag faces, and share on other sites.

1. Great app, the other use I have for it is making a backup of my iPhoto library to my network drive that can be accessed by other computers (namely my girlfriends Windows box)

   The nice thing is it will automatically sort into events or albums for you.
