LastPass

If you’re looking for a way to save all the logins and passwords you use at various websites, you can’t do much better than 1Password. However, the free version of LastPass — acting as a browser extension — covers many of the basic functions. It comes highly recommended by PCMag, and is worth a look if you need something free.

  1. Free Lastpass integrates well with Firefox as a browser extension. I use Firefox on XP, Win7 and MacOS X Lion, so any machine I login to has a familiar browser and access to the same set of logins and passwords. The only downfall is with the iPad. The Free Lastpass browser on iPad is not too good, and I have not found a good extension to work with Safari on iPad. But I can still login to the Free Lastpass mobile website and quickly look up a login. Try it, I am sure you will like it.
(I suppose I could pay for Lastpass, and get iPad access, but the above all works for free).
