Making use of movie metadata
Here’s another one from the suggestion box:
“I like Metadata Hootenanny. Stupid name. Nice little app. Does what MovieChapterizer does and more, and also allows chapter names greater than 20 characters, although much more (than that) messes with QuickTime menu options. Also much easier to use than Quicktime Pro’s complicated procedure.”
Sound a little obscure? Maybe not. As the developer explains, easy access to the metadata in Quicktime movies can come in handy:
“The best use I see for this program is for people (like me) who have large collections of TV shows or music videos, somewhat short movies that might conceivably be played back-to-back, or collected into small lists based on subordinate criteria, as might be stored in QuickTime movies’ metadata tags (like writer, director, author, album, etc).”
