Picasa now available for Mac

Just in time for Macworld expo, Google has announced that Picasa is now available for the Mac. This freeware app lets you organize, edit and share your photos. Judging by the list of features posted at the Google blog, the program’s abilities are impressive.

  2. I love Picasa but this beta version does not work well if you keep your photo library on an external disk as I do.

Mine is on a firewire connected drive, Picasa keeps losing the folders with those photos on that drive.

They’ll be there when you start Picasa, then at some point, poof! Now they’re gone until you restart Picasa!

When Google gets this fixed, look out iPhoto!
