What's up with WhatSize

WhatSize is a great utility for getting a graphical representation of how much space your files are taking up on the hard drive. It’s now at version 4, which means more features. But it also means that if you want what they’re calling System Administrator functionality, you’ll have to pay $12.99. We’re all about the freeware here at thriftmac, but we’ve always maintained that if a developer requests payment, and you use the program a lot, you should show your support. I don’t support nagware like WhatSize, no thanks. Instead of supporting and promoting such software, I rather support and promote free alternatives. In the case of WhatSize, GrandPerspective and Disk Inventory X are such alternatives.
