Wired roundup of (mostly) freeware
Wired’s How-To Wiki has a not-bad roundup of Mac freeware. The premise is a bit bizarre, though, with the claim that OS X is fine the way it is if “your needs are limited to e-mail and web browsing.”
And we’re willing to overlook the fact that most of the suggestions are well-known to anyone with even a passing familiarity with the Mac freeware scene. But I have to say I was astonished to see the inclusion of TextExpander, and so, I’m sure, were the developers. They would like $29.95 for their fine product, thank you very much.
