SuperTux endures with an update to 0.7.0

The very first app posted to thriftmac back on Feb. 9, 2006, was snake3d. That was in the before times when it was somewhat possible to keep track of the games available for Mac.

Snake3d is still around, but another game we posted that day — SuperTux — is not only still available, but just got an update to version 0.7.0 It’s similar to the original Super Mario games except that you play with Tux the penguin.

You can still play the original online.

The Super Mario Bros. franchise itself is now 40 years old, with a celebration at Nintendo.
