Tot now freemium, but may be worth paying for

Well, darn it, I had to remove Tot from thriftmac today. It’s long been one of my favourites, used almost every day for temporary notes. It even made Scrimpy’s Picks.

But it’s up to version 2 now, and that means a change to a freemium model. If you want access to the new stuff, you have to pay.

Luckily, my now-old version of Tot still works fine, and I’m happy to keep it.

I’m not complaining. In fact, I hope they make enough sales to keep the lights on. I generally support paying for apps if you can, and in this case especially because AI services have been drying up the developers’ design revenue.

So what are the new features?

“Tot 2 adds fun, customizable smart bullets, new text dividers, improved text handling, automatic iOS data backup, a re-designed UI, improved settings, bug fixes, and much more.”

If these sound at all useful, think about upgrading.
