AppFlowy
A free and open source to Notion with a focus on getting things done. Create documents, grids, boards and calendars. Plus import documents. Type “/” to access content blocks.
Leomard
Third-party Reddit apps may no longer be working, but they’re starting to appear for the alternatives. Leomard — a Mac client for Lemmy — is in the early stages, but quite functional.
Syncthing
Continuously synchronize files between two or more computers in real time online or over a local network — private and encrypted. Only devices you have explicitly allowed can connect to your other devices.
Duplicati
Backup files and folders online with strong AES-256 encryption. Save space with incremental backups and data deduplication. Run backups on any machine through the web-based interface or via command line interface. Duplicati has a built-in scheduler and auto-updater.
AppFlowy
An open source alternative to Notion that distinguishes itself with data security and cross-platform native experience. Features include detailed to-do lists, kanban boards, content calendars and built-in AI.
Shortcat
You may never need your mouse again. Access your Mac’s user interface from a command palette — click buttons, focus text fields, invoke menu commands, switch windows, and more.
Aiko
Drop in an audio or video file to get a text transcription, which can be exported for editing. It’s powered by Open AI’s Whisper, but everything runs locally on your Mac. Requires at least 16 GB of RAM.

Batch rename many files at once — from simple to complex using regular expressions. This app can monitor a folder and automatically run a recipe when files are dropped in it. Extensive support for AppleScript.
